[What the role is]

Purpose of Job:

SFA is the national authority that ensures and secures a supply of safe food for Singapore. The officer will be part of a dynamic team in the Food Trade Department of the Licensing Division, processing requests for certification of food export to various destination countries.

[What you will be working on]

Duties:

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the following:
• Process and issue export certificates/documents to facilitate the export of food products
•Facilitate and co-ordinate foreign competent authorities’ audit inspections of local food exporting establishments
•Perform audit or inspections of establishments which export food and live food producing animals
•Provide guidance and advice to exporters/manufacturers on export of food products
•Carry out policy review and implement changes to work processes
•Develop initiatives related to food export certification
•Engage stakeholders as part of policy and process review
•Prepare management reports
•Conduct training to food exporters on export certification matters
