Manager, Financial Accounting, Corporate & Finance

The Manager (Financial Accounting) is mainly responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate will be assisting in the preparation of HTX annual financial statements to the Board, managing system access of users, and operating the new HTX Integrated Logistics and Management System (iLMS) to perform financial reporting and transactions.

1. Establishing and maintaining robust processes (e.g. periodic reconciliation of account balances between financial systems) to strengthen governance over accounting records.
2. Performing transactions in financial systems for monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
3. Ensuring compliance with Singapore Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards (SB-FRS) and internal controls for fixed assets accounting.
4. Preparing and maintaining detailed fixed assets register and reports.
5. Troubleshooting system issues, partnering with respective parties and monitoring system change requests to implement changes/enhancements to stabilize and improve the system.
6. Managing users’ access to financial systems and CorpPass.
7. Collaborating with stakeholders to drive process improvements and efficiency gains.
8. Extracting financial data and analyzing financial reports using HTX financial systems.
9. Supporting annual audit processes.
10. Working collaboratively with various departments to address financial and accounting implications.
11. Performing any other duties as assigned by Director (Corp & Finance) and Deputy Director (Financial Accounting).

1. Tertiary Qualifications in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2 years of working experience in finance/accounting/IT environment.
3. Proficient in MS Office applications.
4. Experience in SAP and financial system implementation will be advantageous.
5. Good knowledge of the relevant accounting standards, in particular the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Government IM.
6. Responsible, good written and communication skills.

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
