PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESGeneral Ledger (GL)- Responsible and supervise full spectrum of general ledger activities of entities undesigned
- Review journals and book recording to ensure financial statements are accurately reported
- Ensure month end close activities are duly completed on timely basis
- Any other ad-hoc/routing GL related activities
Audit and Compliance- Be the key Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for audit matters relating
- Ensure current processes, operations, systems, databases and information security are up to date and comply with proper accounting and legal principles/policies/procedures
- Liaise with external auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – ensure staff and information are available as required
- Ensure compliance of group reporting requirements
Leadership- Team player, able to lead a small team of 5-6 persons and drive effectiveness.
- Able to coach junior executives and provide relevant guidances
- Upskill GL team technical skills and be a role model to the team
Project management- Significantly involved in GL Transformation Projects. Ensure completeness of project within assigned timeframe.
- Drive process improvements, streamlines and harmonize current processes.
- Improve reporting accuracy and quality
Customer Service- Deliver service excellence and maximize customer service and satisfaction
- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders (external / internal customers, co-workers)
- Maintain professional attitude during service delivery and resolution of issues
- Ensure that service levels and targets are met as per Service Level Agreements
Continuous Improvement- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner
Job Requirements- At least a University degree or equivalent in a Finance & Accounting related field
- At least 8-10 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting (GA) function and preferably with minimum 5 years of audit experiences
- Proficiency in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and strong in technical accounting,
- Experience in the shared services center of a multinational corporation is desirable
- Proficient in Gsheet and MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Must have SAP knowledge
- Must be a team player with a positive working attitude
