Job summary

Temasek Foundation is looking for a Manager (Finance) to oversee month-end closing, budgeting, and tax returns. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with finance policies and collaborate with technology teams. Candidates must have a relevant degree and 4-6 years' experience in finance, preferably with CA or CPA qualifications.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years’ experience in relevant finance role.
  • Experience in audit is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare/review month-end closing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support the budgeting cycle, including planning and forecasting.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and support the annual statutory audit.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Director (Finance), the Manager (Finance) is responsible for the following

  • Prepare/review month-end closing journal entries, monthly accounts payable cycle and reconciliations.
  • Support the budgeting cycle - planning, forecasting and reporting.
  • Provide strong business partnering to programming teams.
  • Prepare and file tax returns (corporate income tax, withholding tax, tax-deductible donations)
  • Support the annual statutory audit, including preparation of Financial Statements, and internal audits.
  • Support in any reporting as required, to the Board, Audit & Risk Committee, senior management team and external parties, including Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), Commissioner of Charities (COC) and Economic Development Board (EDB).
  • Support the revision or update in Finance policies, SOPs and procedures to comply with recommended practice, and to ensure adherence and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Technology Team to support system implementations and enhancements, such as on the accounting or grant management system.
  • In addition, the individual maybe required to support projects and/or institutional initiatives, where appropriate

Requirements

  • Degree from a recognised institution in accounting, finance or equivalent
  • Ideally 4-6 years’ working experience in relevant discipline
  • CA, CPA, ACCA or other equivalent qualification is required
  • Prior experience in audit is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, tax, laws and best practices
  • Good knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Good interpersonal abilities, verbal and written communication skills
  • High integrity and openness combines with commitment to good governance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Salesforce is advantageous
