Job summary

PPIS Family Services Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Finance Manager to oversee the financial health of the organisation, lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Financial Planning & Analysis: develop and manage annual budget with department heads; monitor variances; provide forecasts and scenario planning.
  • Financial Reporting: prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; ensure statutory reporting compliance; liaise with auditors.
  • Accounting & Operations: supervise month-end/year-end close; ensure SFRS compliance; manage payables/receivables, payroll and GL.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls: develop internal controls; ensure policy compliance; lead risk management of financial activities.
  • Strategic Support: provide insights to senior management; support funding proposals and grant reporting; identify cost-saving opportunities.

Job description

The Finance Manager is responsible foroverseeing the financial health of the organisation. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance. The role ensures financial strategies align with organisational goals and provides insights to support decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Develop and manage the organisation’s annual budget in collaboration with department heads.
  • Monitor budget performance and analyse variances.
  • Provide timely financial forecasts and scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and financial regulations (e.g. IRAS, ACRA,Charities Act if applicable).
  • Oversee audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
Accounting & Operations
  • Supervise the finance team to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g. Singapore Financial Reporting Standards – SFRS).
  • Manage accounts payable/ receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard organisational assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Lead risk management efforts related to financial activities.
Strategic Support
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the senior management team.
  • Support funding proposals and grant reporting as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant qualifications
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA preferred
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in financial management; with at least 2 years in a supervisory role or managerial role
  • Good command of MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Possess high level of integrity and dependability
