Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse departmental finances, drive financial performance, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare and review management financial reports (balance sheet, cash flow, income statement, board materials) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyse variances between actual performance and budgets/forecasts; highlight key trends and exceptions for management review.
  • Lead improvements in financial analysis methodologies and reporting frameworks.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Manage tax filings, regulatory updates, and compliance matters.
  • Support statutory filings, including annual ACRA submissions.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Drive the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.

System & Process Improvement

  • Lead financial system enhancements and implementation projects to align with operational needs.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior management.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with interna teams, MOH, and external stakeholders to manage funding and ensure financial accountability.
  • Foster collaborative relationship to align financial initiatives with the hospital's strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with a degree in Accountancy or a recognized professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience, of which at least 3 years of experience in managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills in accounting and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing financial processes, systems, or internal controls.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to guide and influence teams.
