Manager / Executive, Operations – Singapore

Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to serve as Manager/Senior Executive, Operations in our Singapore office. This role involves overseeing vessel operations, including cost control, scheduling, stevedoring, bunkering, and coordination with partners, terminals, and internal teams. The goal is to ensure efficient vessel turnaround, schedule integrity, compliance with regulations, and cost minimization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all cost activities related to vessel operations, scheduling, and bunker procurement/consumption monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with KPIs, Cost Approval & Control.
  • Monitor vessel schedules to ensure on-time performance, schedule integrity, and recovery planning, while minimizing bunker consumption.
  • Coordinate with ships, terminals, ports, stevedores, and local agents regarding berthing, bunker operations, and other operational issues to ensure resources are efficiently allocated, safety is maintained, and costs are minimized.
  • Communicate with vessel owners regarding crew changes, repairs, hull cleaning, etc.
  • Execute bunker requirements following the most economical bunkering model in compliance with VSA regulations.
  • Manage non-critical accidents and incidents.
  • Report on vessel consumption, schedule reliability, and other key operational metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in maritime studies, port operations, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of shore-based experience in liner operations.
  • Optional: 2 years of vessel experience.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently under tight schedules and flexible hours.
