A leading public organization in Singapore seeks a Carbon Planning professional to develop and implement initiatives under the ICC framework, support cross-border carbon capture projects, and engage in international negotiations. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and at least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably with an engineering background.

What you will be working on:
You will be involved in developing and implementing initiatives under the ICC framework and support the implementation of cross-border CCS projects. Your duties will include the following:
Develop and review the ICC framework in line with international standards and best practices to ensure carbon credits are of high environmental integrity
Monitor and build capability in carbon crediting methodologies
Administer authorisation and assessment of carbon crediting projects under Singapore’s Implementation Agreements and support negotiations with host countries on the eligibility list of carbon crediting programmes and methodologies
Participate in bilateral negotiations on the proper accounting of carbon captured, transported and stored for CCS
Develop strong international networks with environmental authorities in CCS regulation and development
Monitor and build capability on CCS, and new mitigation measures such as direct air capture and ocean carbon dioxide removal
What we are looking for:
At least 2 years of work experience in the carbon and sustainability field, or chemical process sector
Candidates with engineering degrees with relevant work experience may also apply
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Resourceful, self-driven and able to work independently.
Good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel.
Willing to travel overseas for International/regional meetings
