Job description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth for Quebec, including MICE services. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities and building strong, lasting customer relationships. The Sales Manager will oversee the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure and ongoing customer satisfaction—ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business objectives. The incumbent will be involved in the ideation process alongside with the Creative Team and ensure the seamless delivery and execution with Project Managers.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets, focusing on both short-term and long-term growth
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers, ensuring consistent sales conversions to meet business goals
  • Collaborate with creative and operations teams to deliver innovative, customized solutions that meet customers’ needs
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with corporate, association, and private sector customers to drive repeat business and loyalty
  • Identify emerging market trends and new business opportunities to expand the customers base and stay ahead of competitors
  • Partner with the General Manager/Head, Sales to develop and implement targeted sponsorship plans for IP products
  • Conduct market analysis to assess customer needs, competitor offerings and industry trends, refining strategies as needed
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with high-value clients, ensuring satisfaction and continued business
  • Lead negotiations and finalize contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and customers’ expectations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, coordinating with event management and operations teams for seamless event delivery
  • Handle customer inquiries, negotiations, and follow-up to secure bookings and ensure excellent service
  • Develop and present tailored event proposals that align with customers objectives, budgets and expectations
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s services and generate leads
  • Work with the marketing team to design sales campaigns that generate continuous lead flow and drive business growth
  • Report regularly on sales performance to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges and areas for improvement
  • Manage sales budgets, including forecasting and tracking performance to ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Continuously recommend new sales techniques, service offerings, and packages to meet evolving customers’ demands
  • Partner with the Creative Team to ensure successful pitches and upsells; and with the Operations Team to ensure smooth delivery of the events
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays for events and provide on-site support

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event sales, business development, MICE, or corporate sales

- Proven track record as an independent, solution-oriented sales professional

- Strong background in the MICE industry, or experience in venue, hospitality, or events sectors

- In-depth knowledge of the events industry, including venue management, event logistics, and best practices

- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Strong ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team

- Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills

- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and service

- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as needed for event execution
