Job description

Overview

As the Manager of Digital Services, you will play a key role in supporting HeritageSG’s digital transformation and enhancing visitor experiences across physical and digital platforms. Reporting to the Head of Digital & Communications, you will lead the delivery of interactive digital projects for museums and heritage institutions, including immersive media and experiential technologies. You will also support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of digital initiatives that improve operational efficiency and deepen public engagement. This role requires a balance of technical capability, user experience insight, and project management skill, along with a passion for innovation and service excellence in the cultural and heritage sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Services and Visitor Experience

  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of digital interactive experiences for museums and heritage institutions (e.g. touchscreen kiosks, projection-based exhibits, AR/VR installations).
  • Propose and implement new digital initiatives that enhance Visitor Experience (VX) across virtual and physical touchpoints.
  • Manage digital project lifecycles – from market scans and platform evaluations, to procurement, design, content development, and implementation.
  • Coordinate closely with vendors and internal stakeholders on both creative and technical aspects of project delivery, including integration with existing infrastructure, cybersecurity requirements, and system maintenance protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify user pain points and co-create seamless, front-facing digital experiences that are inclusive and impactful.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate UX/UI proposals (e.g. wireframes, user flows, prototypes) and support usability testing and refinement.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, performance metrics, and user feedback, capturing learning points to improve future deployments

Qualifications & Experience for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT support, digital communications, or marketing roles.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering and maintaining interactive or immersive technologies (e.g. AR/VR, experiential media).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Scrum); certifications such as CITPM, COMIT, PRINCE2, or PMI are advantageous.
  • Ability to align user needs with business goals, with strong problem-solving and UX/UI conceptualisation skills.
  • Skilled in communicating design concepts clearly, with knowledge of prototyping, wireframing, and UX research techniques.
  • Strong analytical, project coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • A collaborative team player with attention to detail and service excellence mindset.
  • A strong interest in innovation, culture, and heritage is highly valued.
