A leading non-profit organization in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Programme Manager to champion digital inclusion initiatives. The successful candidate will manage refurbishment operations, engage with community partners, and facilitate volunteer efforts to drive impactful change. Strong project management skills and a tech-oriented approach are essential for this mission-driven role.
About Engineering Good
Engineering Good (EG) is a non-profit organisation based in Singapore, founded in 2014. Through social innovation initiatives, we endeavour to support disadvantaged and special needs communities. Our work focuses on two main areas: Digital Inclusion & Sustainability and Assistive Technology.
Digital Inclusion & Sustainability
We refurbish used laptops, and redistribute them to underserved communities such as low-income families. This not only provides essential access for disadvantaged individuals and families to the digital world but also promotes environmental sustainability by reducing e-waste.
Assistive Technology (AT)
In our Assistive Technology programs, we leverage the diverse talents of our skilled volunteer community to create assistive technology products. These products help persons with disabilities (PWDs) overcome barriers to daily living activities, education, recreation, and employment, enabling them to reach their full potential and live more independently.
Our Impact
Our work has enabled low-income students to attend online classes, disadvantaged persons to seek job opportunities online, assisted PWDs in daily living activities, and much more.
If you are also passionate about making a difference and want to be part of this supportive and innovative community, we invite you to join us in empowering those who need it most.
Job Purpose
Since the start of Circuit Breaker in March 2020, Engineering Good has been supporting the disadvantaged and underserved communities caught in the Digital Divide by collecting old laptops, refurbishing them and passing them on to those who need the devices most. Past the pandemic, we have pivoted our programmes to address the current relevant gaps and needs of disadvantaged communities.
We are looking for a dynamic and mission-driven Programme Manager to lead and grow our Digital Inclusion & Sustainability work and outreach. You will be a champion for digital inclusion, promoting equitable access to digital resources through our CAC (Computer Access for the Community) initiative.
