Manager (Data Centre Facilities)

You lead facility management (FM) teams and serve as the technical lead on Data Centre (DC) facilities, providing coaching and guidance to FM Teams on professional matters.

- Partner with IT Operations leadership to manage and monitor morale, discipline, and work hygiene of FM teams.
- Plan operational tasks for the FM and security teams related to maintenance, capacity planning, and logistical sustenance.
- Assist in projects for the data centres and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
- Communicate with various stakeholders to ensure overall mission outcomes are achieved.
- Create and maintain facility-level documentation and innovate solutions for DC operations.
- Lead FM teams in planning and executing emergency response plans for FM-related incidents.
Challenge(s):
- Ensuring FM staff respond promptly to faults at any time.
- Maintaining facility availability in a 24/7 environment.
- Managing shift work requirements.

- Education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Relevant DC-related certifications such as CDCP, CDFOM.
- Familiarity with DC industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, Uptime Institute Data Centre Certification, ASHRAE requirements).
- Knowledge of IT hardware specifications and computer racking requirements for DC space and power planning.
