The National Institute of Education invites suitable candidates to apply for the post of Manager, Continuing Education and Training, in the Office of Graduate Studies & Professional Learning.

Responsibilities

You will oversee the Continuing Education and Training (CET) admin team and provide support to the Associate Dean and Assistant Dean in strengthening the growth of CET at NIE. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage and supervise a team to ensure performance targets are met
• Strategic planning and development of new programmes and courses
• Review of CET programmes and courses
• Policies governance and implementation
• Programme and course planning, management and evaluation
• SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) funding and course management
• Statistical reporting
• Maintain records and documentation for accreditation purposes and prepare necessary reports for review by governing bodies.
• CET budget planning and management
• Costing for programmes and courses
• Securing funding from external sources to support CET agenda
• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders
• Secretariat support for meeting with internal and external stakeholders
• Support CET outreach marketing and publicity
• Other CET operation matters such as course scheduling, course application and admission, payment and billing, assessment, certificates, records management, maintenance of webpages and managing enquires
• Implementation and enhancement of IT systems
• Coordinate CET learner services to enhance the learner experience

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree from a reputable University
• At least 4-7 years of experience at the managerial level, preferably in an educational institution
• Experience in leading a team
• Experience and good knowledge of Continuing Education & Training in Singapore, including SSG policies and processes
• Experience in managing programmes and courses
• Knowledge of policies, guidelines and procedures related to offering of CET courses
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
• Strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Meticulous, with an eye for detail
• Able to multi-task and keep a close follow-up on tasks
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to adapt to changes well
• Proficiency in proposal, report and minutes writing
• Proficiency in making and delivering presentations
• Proficient in use of IT tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop and Canvas
