Job description
What the role is:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Central Catchment Nature Reserve (CCNR) team. You will be responsible for implementing a Forest Fire Detection and Monitoring System for biodiversity conservation in the CCNR and the surrounding Nature Parks.
This role requires you to work closely with internal divisions such as IT and Procurement teams to renew the contract for the Forest Fire Detection and Monitoring System. You will liaise with external regulatory authorities and the awarded contractor to setup and maintain the system.
You will also be involved in maintenance programmes and nature conservation activities to enhance both our native biodiversity and visitor experience.
What you will be working on:
Liaising with potential vendors and drafting a contract to include the specification requirements for the forest fire detection system
Collaborate and work closely with IT team to drive the implementation and adoption of AI technology for the forest fire detection system
Work with the awarded vendor to ensure delivery and compliance of the stated requirements
What we are looking for:
Areas of study in Environmental Management, Life Science, Botany, Zoology, or related discipline in applied sciences for conservation is preferred
At least 1 year of experience in project management involving the use of technology in areas of conservation or greenery maintenance
Able to work in dynamic environment with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines effectively
Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
An organised, creative, and resourceful team player who is able to work independently
Enjoy working in an outdoor environment and has a keen interest in nature conservation
Possession of Class 3 Driving License will be very helpful in utilising the assigned work vehicle to visit project sites
