Job Description

NUS Global, or NUS Global Relations Office (GRO), is the international engagement arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS), serving a dual mandate. Broadly, GRO curates and manages mobility programmes that provide NUS students learning experiences abroad to support their educational, professional, and personal development. GRO is also responsible for building collaborative relationships with overseas counterparts through alliances, networks, and other channels to create value for our stakeholders. GRO is now seeking to hire a Manager, Communications to join the team.

We are looking for a driven, astute, flexible, and resourceful individual to join our versatile team. The team has uncompromising standards, manages diverse portfolios, events, and projects, and members have the freedom and flexibility to work on different things. The role may be adapted to the right candidate's strengths and interests.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage integrated communications, marketing, publicity, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Develop audience-targeted and media-specific strategies and content for the publicity of programmes, news, activities, events, etc.
  • Manage communications and social media assets, including the planning, production, and curation of platform-appropriate content, and community management; and website updates.
  • Write/edit/fact-check/produce articles, reports, presentation slides, speeches, etc.
  • Produce digital and print publicity content and materials, graphics, EDMs, brochures, slides, templates, signage, collaterals, gifts, etc.
  • Manage marketing/publicity assets, e.g., website, telegram, emails, etc.
  • Manage events, student engagement activities, visits, global engagement, and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree or experience in Communications, Marketing, or other relevant fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in communications or public relations, preferably in higher education.
  • Excellent command of English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Excellent copywriting/editing skills, and ability to adapt writing for different audiences and media.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to produce effective and creative communications materials across various media.
  • Proficient in the use of social media tools and experience in managing online marketing/community engagement campaigns.
  • Experience in global engagement and/or events management would be advantageous.
  • Competency, experience, or interest in UX/UI/web design, web development, graphic design, photography, and/or video production would be advantageous.
