About the role
You lead and oversee the organisation's FinOps (Cloud Financial Operations) initiatives, ensuring effective management and optimisation of cloud costs while enabling business agility and innovation, as well as align cloud spending with business objectives and drive financial accountability across teams.


What you will be working on


  • Implement cloud cost governance and optimisation practices by establishing cloud cost management policies, processes, and standards
  • Drive cloud financial accountability and reporting by developing and maintaining cloud cost models, budgets, and forecasting methodologies
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on cloud usage, costs, and billing to stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of FinOps and cloud cost awareness across users of SAF Cloud
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enable cost transparency and accountability
  • Conduct training and awareness programs on FinOps best practices and cost optimisation strategies


Challenge(s)


  • Managing the complexity of cloud environments with diverse services, pricing models, and usage patterns across multiple cloud implemented by the SAF, ensuring accurate cost allocation and chargeback mechanisms
  • Balancing cost optimisation efforts with the need for agility, innovation, and business growth by aligning cloud spending with organisational priorities and enabling teams to leverage cloud capabilities cost-effectively


What we are looking for


  • Education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Cloud computing certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Cloud Fundamentals) and FinOps certifications (Certified FinOps Practitioner, Certified FinOps Professional)
  • Having familiarity with managing complex resource allocation and cost optimisation initiatives in mission-critical contexts
