Job summary

National Heritage Board is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and sustain process automation solutions for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). You will collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to automate repetitive, rules-based, data-intensive processes while ensuring compliance and reliability.

Responsibilities include analyzing processes, building orchestrated automation pipelines, and mentoring citizen developers to promote adoption

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in process automation, enterprise workflow automation and low-code platforms.
• UiPath Certified RPA Associate (UiRPA) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of UiPath, Power Automate and AI-assisted workflow tools.

Job description

What the role is:

You will design, develop, deploy and sustain process automation solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and workforce productivity across the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). Working closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Operations and operational stakeholders, you will automate repetitive, rules-based and data-intensive processes while ensuring compliance, reliability and maintainability.

What you will be working on:

• Analyse business processes to identify automation opportunities, conduct workflow assessments and recommend suitable automation approaches
• Design, develop and maintain automation solutions in compliance with enterprise development standards
• Engineer orchestrated automation pipelines across multiple enterprise systems, integrating AI services and developing exception handling and resilience mechanisms
• Implement security controls, maintain data integrity and participate in architecture and compliance reviews
• Develop best practices, mentor citizen developers, and promote automation adoption across the RSNChallenge(s)
• Developing a working understanding of the military context and operations to effectively design and deliver automation solutions that meet the unique requirements of the RSN environment

What we are looking for:

• Education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field is preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in process automation, enterprise workflow automation and low-code platforms is preferred
• Certified in UiPath Certified RPA Associate (UiRPA) or equivalent RPA certification
• Knowledge of automation platforms including UiPath, Power Automate and AI-assisted workflow tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills(Applicants with no experience may apply.)
