Job description

Our client, located in the northern part of Singapore, is looking for a qualified HR practitioner and leader with experience in full HR spectrum to helm their HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement progressive HR strategies that align with organisational goals, foster a high-performance culture, and enhance employee engagement.
  • Lead all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and learning and development.
  • Design, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labour laws and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and employment law matters.
  • Partner with department heads to forecast workforce requirements and design effective recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Strengthen employer branding to position the organisation as an employer of choice and enhance the overall talent experience.
  • Champion initiatives that promote employee well-being, mental health, and work-life balance.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and oversee the HR budget and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Prepare, analyse, and present HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making for senior leadership.
  • Stay up to date with HR trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, driving continuous improvements across HR operations.
  • Liaise with union representatives and actively participate in collective agreement negotiations to maintain strong labour relations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in full spectrum of HR operations, employee relations, and union engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker who is detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to change.
  • Strong knowledge of current employment laws and HR best practices.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information and providing sound HR counsel to senior leadership.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a passion for developing innovative, people-focused solutions.
