About the Role
This full-time position is instrumental in both our company's accounting and administrative functions. As a key member of our foundational setup, you'll play a crucial role in establishing robust financial and operational processes, with a unique opportunity to grow together with Genovn Therapeutics from its early stages. The role may be appointed at either the Director, Manager or Associate level. The seniority level and compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience and capabilities.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the full set of accounting books.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and employee reimbursements.
Support the preparation of company budgets.
Ensure timely and accurate financial record-keeping, encompassing inventory, cash, foreign exchange, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements, reports, and cash forecasts.
Assist with tax preparation and audit processes.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Ensure strict compliance with accounting standards, relevant regulations, and company policies.
Manage office supplies and equipment, and effectively liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure an efficient and well-organized office environment.
Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and conferences.
Undertake any other associated ad-hoc projects or exigencies arising from business or divisional needs.
Requirements
Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration.
Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA is preferred.
At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role. Experience in a start-up biotech company is a significant advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with various stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
