Job Summary:

The F&B Manager oversees all aspects of café operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, hygiene, and team performance. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing costs, leading the team, and implementing strategies to enhance overall customer experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
  • Oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Enforce and maintain hygiene, safety, and service standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
Staff Management
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and lead front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Conduct staff evaluations and manage performance issues.
  • Foster a positive team environment through motivation, support, and discipline where necessary.
Customer Service
  • Ensure excellent customer service and respond to customer feedback or complaints professionally.
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for guests.
Inventory & Cost Control
  • Manage inventory levels, supplier relationships, and order procurement.
  • Control food and labor costs within budgeted parameters.
  • Monitor sales and expenses, and prepare regular performance reports.
Marketing & Business Development
  • Support marketing and promotional activities to drive traffic and increase revenue.
  • Propose and implement new menu items or service improvements in collaboration with the kitchen team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in F&B management or café operations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and sales analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and daily cash reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (e.g., Food Hygiene Certificate).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business, or F&B Management.
  • Experience in café, casual dining, or boutique F&B concepts.
  • Barista or culinary background is an advantage.
