- Liaise with brokers, trading firms, operators, and shipyards on specifications and pricing.
- Check project profitability.
- Coordinate with the technical department on equipment and machinery.
- Negotiate with financiers.
- Prepare proposals for top management review and approval.

- Oversee sea trials and vessel delivery.
- Assess profitability and feasibility of sales.
- Arrange offers and inspections.
- Negotiate prices and MOA terms with buyers.
- Coordinate with financiers on prepayment of loans and mortgage discharge.
Financial Matters :
- Explain financial statements and company outlook to financiers.
- Negotiate financial conditions such as LTV, MTM, and covenants.
- Evaluate the need or possibility for refinancing.
- Research financial markets and compare with current conditions.
- Negotiate terms with financiers.
- Utilize free cash for FX forward contracts to hedge against exchange rate fluctuations.
- Arrange fixed deposits to improve cash position.
Friendly Ship Owners Matters:
- Provide quarterly reports on financial status and vessel conditions to friendly ship owners.
- Propose newbuilding projects or S&P activities to ship owners.
Other Related Matters:
- Maintain fleet cash flow.
- Monitor fleet market value.
- Research market trends through brokers, publications, and reports.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime discipline preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in shipping-related portfolios.
- Proven track record of achieving targets, operational excellence, and team leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence to foster positive relationships at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, employees, and senior management.
- Ability to manage complex business issues and mitigate risks.
- Meticulous with a high standard of work quality.
- Japanese language skills are an advantage for supporting Japan-based teams and clients.
