Manager whose main focus is managing projects effectively under the cooperative relationship among clients and other partners and internal project members. As a Manager, the incumbent is expected to possess deep knowledge of several industries, capability to design and execute projects, and human skills to establish relationships among stakeholders of various projects. At the same time, the manager is expected to exercise business development activities through client targeting, approaching potential clients, proposal-making, and successful project closure.
Business Development:
- Assesses potential clients in specific target sectors including energy, real estate, food and agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and wholesale, private equity, and investment banks.
- Develops plans to create networks with potential clients.
- Prepares discussion materials and leadership articles related to NRI consultants to showcase NRI's track record and industry expertise.
- Maintains relationships with potential clients.
- Collaborates with the senior management team in NRI Singapore.
Project Delivery:
- Addresses project issues and challenges with clients.
- Manages project budgets.
- Assists with research and consultation activities as needed.
- Provides on-the-job training to consultants and analysts.
- Reviews project results and discusses outcomes with project team members upon completion.
People Management:
- Engages with consulting team members.
- Provides on-the-job training on basic consulting skills, including slide creation, logical thinking, story development, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Mentors consultants and senior consultants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
- Advanced degrees such as M.A., M.S., or MBA may enhance project management and execution skills.
- 8-10 years of senior-level experience in research and strategy consulting.
- Experience in business growth strategy projects is highly advantageous.
- Experience managing projects and guiding consultants at different levels is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to establish ongoing relationships with key clients and secure repeat projects.
- Deep industry knowledge is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for business trips as required.
- Proficiency in Japanese to liaise effectively with Japanese-speaking counterparts internally and externally.
