ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing assigned services under the guidance of the LH-Trade Manager.
  • Contribute to voyage-based allocation planning, pricing strategies, and space optimization to enhance trade performance and vessel utilization.
  • Support rate inquiries and negotiations with agencies to maximize service profitability.
  • Help analyze and optimize trade lane utilization in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication with partners to streamline operational processes and resolve issues.
  • Assist in cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth service execution.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly trade performance reports, highlighting key trends and improvement areas.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by analyzing trade lane performance metrics.
  • Participate in feasibility studies for new trade routes or service expansions.
  • Assist in developing and executing launch plans for new services.
  • Track and report on business engagement status, identifying gaps between current and future operational capabilities.
  • Support project progression analysis and escalate critical issues as needed.

To be successful in this role you will require the following:

Education and/or Experience

  • Min. Bachelor of Science in Maritime Studies with Specialization in International Trading, Second Major in Business, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, specifically in VLOOKUP, Pivot-table, basic formulas.
  • Good ethics and professional conduct, with strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit.
  • Good organizational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking associates verbally/ in writing whenever appropriate.
