Job Description
  • Report to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Operates welding/cutting tools based on necessary steel fabrication projects.
  • Perform high quality metal working and welding tasks using various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC) based on project requirements.
  • Proficient in 3G, 4G, 5G & 6G welding techniques.
  • Inspect machinery, buildings, electrical systems, piping, and equipment to ensure safe, well-maintained conditions, identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs to the issues identified.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (oil change, filter replacement, cleaning, bearing etc) to identified equipment/facility.
  • Install new machinery, equipment, piping or structure.
  • Complete maintenance work orders as assigned and in a timely manner.
  • Operate a variety of machinery, equipment and tools including saws, drills, grinders, welding machines, drill presses and various hand tools.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts, consumables and equipment; recommend tools, supplies, and equipment for purchase.
  • Basic ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, procedures , or oral instruction on machinery, equipment, piping system or project.
  • Install or replace electrical contacts, panel, relays, plugs, switches, outlets.
  • Perform other general maintenance tasks including housekeeping, landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ensure replaced parts or equipment are of correct specification and properly tagged.
  • Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, standards in a safe manner and with minimal supervision.
  • Observe all company and legal, safety, health and quality policies.
  • Report quality issues, accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
  • Perform functional test of the repaired item before handling over to the stakeholder.
  • Ensure cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
  • Respond to off hours critical calls to resolve facility/equipment issues.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor/management.
