Duties & Responsibilities:
Hands-on diagnosing mechanical and electrical breakdowns on food manufacturing equipment and refrigeration systems.
Diagnosing breakdowns and conducting root cause analysis to eliminate the likelihood of reoccurrence.
Carrying out preventive maintenance work to minimize operational downtime.
Sourcing replacement parts for equipment repair and preventive maintenance.
Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., WSH, MOM).
Maintaining safe work requirements, supervising outsourced vendors' work, and liaising with the facility’s operations team to schedule repair and preventive works.
Following emergency response procedures in the event of equipment breakdowns and malfunctions.
Performing housekeeping of documents, tools, and inventory parts.
Requirements:
Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in plant and machinery engineering or a similar role.
Good knowledge and hands-on experience with food manufacturing processing equipment, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
