A leading company in food manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical breakdowns. The role involves preventive maintenance, compliance with relevant standards, and liaising with operations to ensure minimal downtime. Candidates should have a diploma in engineering and experience in similar positions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To hands-on diagnosing mechanical and electrical breakdowns on food manufacturing equipment and refrigeration system.
Require diagnosing breakdowns and conduct root cause, eliminate the likelihood of reoccurrence.
Carry out preventive maintenance work to minimize operational downtime.
Source for replacement parts of equipment for repair and preventive maintenance.
Ensure relevant standards and regulatory requirements are in compliance. (e.g.: WSH, MOM)
Maintain safe work requirements, supervise outsourced vendors’ works and liaising with the facility’s operations team to schedule repair and preventive works.
Require following emergency response in the event of equipmentbreakdowns and malfunctions.
Perform housekeeping of documents, tools and inventory parts.
Requirements:
Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a plant and machinery engineering or similar role.
Good knowledge with hands-on experience on food manufacturing processing equipment, refrigeration and electrical systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
