Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) was incorporated by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore in June 2009 to build, own, and operate Singapore's first open-access, multi-user LNG Terminal. This key national infrastructure supports Singapore's energy diversification strategy and future economic development in the energy sector.

With over 95% of electricity in Singapore generated using natural gas, the SLNG Terminal enhances the country's energy security by enabling natural gas to be shipped from anywhere in the world. It also facilitates the development of new LNG-related businesses, contributing to Singapore's energy industry growth and job creation.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all mechanical maintenance work at the terminal to ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and legislative guidelines.
  • Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and replacement of mechanical equipment and piping systems such as BOG compressors, cryogenic pumps, Marine Loading Arms, storage tanks, and pressure vessels.
  • Supervise in-house contractors and equipment vendors to ensure safe work execution without affecting gas supply reliability.
  • Develop and update maintenance plans and schedules with input from relevant teams to minimize disruptions.
  • Review and analyze operating equipment to identify anomalies, propose improvements, and extend equipment lifespan while reducing costs.
  • Ensure maintenance plans comply with company standards and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare PM checklists and MSRAs as needed.
  • Achieve maintenance KPIs, share information, and provide technical training and advice to technicians.
  • Manage manpower planning, overtime, system entries, and emergency activations.
  • Support spare parts and warehouse activities, including stock counts and procurement.
  • Define scope of work, prepare PRs, and evaluate maintenance service contracts and outsourcing.
  • Forecast, monitor, and manage budgets.
  • Participate in emergency response procedures and assume assigned roles as required.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 8 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in oil/petrochemical industries.
  • Knowledge of local codes, regulations, standards, and inspection requirements; certifications in API, vibration, and analysis standards are advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience in an oil and gas installation.
  • Practical experience with static and rotating equipment, compressors, engines, piping, and valves.
  • Personal attributes include teamwork, self-motivation, adaptability, diplomacy, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
