Job description

The Maintenance Officer supports the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer in the daily operation of the Engineering Department, ensuring the efficient upkeep and maintenance of all hotel services and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Departmental Support & Coordination
    Assist in training, coaching, and supervising engineering team members.
    Delegate duties and coordinate all engineering activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
    Foster teamwork within the department and across the hotel, embodying Accor’s Vision and Values.

  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
    Schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance—particularly for HVAC (ACMV) systems.
    Perform routine inspections, log equipment data, and follow up on faults or repair needs.
    Source quotations for spare parts and external repair work as required.

  • Safety & Compliance
    Maintain firefighting equipment and facilities in compliance with local fire‑safety regulations, ensuring they are always ready for use.
    Assist with fire‑safety issues and emergency drills.
    Keep safety‑related administrative documents up to date and ensure life‑and‑property safety during all interventions.

  • Inventory & Documentation
    Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, workshop, and engineering office.
    Manage tool and spare‑parts inventories, ensuring proper storage and availability.
    Keep a daily log of all maintenance activities and equipment servicing.

  • Independent Initiative
    Exhibit self‑motivation and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
    Extend cooperation to superiors and external service providers, following instructions promptly.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within hotels, building facilities, or construction maintenance

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related discipline

  • Technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot, and execute repairs efficiently

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Understanding of fire‑safety regulations and maintenance best practices
