A leading cultural venue in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Officer to operate and maintain essential systems. The role involves conducting inspections and repairs, managing maintenance teams, and ensuring safety standards. Candidates should have extensive building maintenance experience, a relevant qualification, and troubleshooting skills. Shift work is required.
We are looking for a Maintenance Officer to operate and maintain the building, electrical and mechanical systems, ACMV systems, plumbing and sanitary systems and equipment in the centre with the objective of providing effective and efficient building services support and preventive maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct checks, inspections & tests as well as servicing, operating, repairing and maintaining building, electrical, electronics, mechanical equipment as well as building systems including the carpark system
Conducts routine checks and inspections of the systems and building maintenance
Carries out first line and ad hoc repairs, services and maintenance of the systems
Carries out preventive maintenance programs
Attends to requests for services from tenants and occupiers
Conducts energy conservation programs
Documents utility and service readings and plant/system operation conditions
Monitors contractor’s works
Ensures that all safety and security measures are adhered to
Responsible for simple building maintenance & repairs e.g. painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, sanitary works etc.
To lead, guide and manage technicians in performing cost effective maintenance of all building services equipment and systems.
To lead and manage technicians in ensuring that M&E services are operating within specific requirements e.g. air con operating at comfort level, lighting switch on preset schedules, etc.
Assist the engineers and ensures the keeping of up-to-date maintenance records and documentation.
To manage and liaise as well as supervise contractors in all building services systems maintenance works, alterations, construction, renovations and repairs.
Assist the engineers in providing technical direction and knowledge when leading the team of technicians during operations.
Keeps track of all spares and consumables and requests for reorder when necessary
Assists in inventory and stock audit
Assists in monitoring day to day maintenance records
KEY REQUIREMENTS
A ITE or NTC2/3 in Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing/Refrigeration/Building Certificate from a recognised training institute.
At least 6 years working experience in building maintenance with developers or hotels industry.
Trouble shooting capabilities, communications and teamwork skills are crucial.
Supervisory or leadership skill is an added advantage.
Irregular hours and shift work is required. Perform shift duties (2 shifts)
Perform emergency call back duty
