An established industry player is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer to oversee daily maintenance activities in a chemical plant. This role involves coordinating with contractors, troubleshooting equipment issues, and enhancing maintenance strategies for improved reliability. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Daily Maintenance Coordination: Plan, schedule, and follow up on daily maintenance activities with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely and effective execution. Record daily outcomes and prepare schedules for upcoming work.
2.Equipment Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and resolve faults or failures in Equipment’s, supporting both corrective and preventive actions to ensure reliable operation.
3.Vendor & Shutdown Coordination: Liaise with in-house and external contractors for day-to-day services and major shutdown maintenance activities, including work planning, site coordination, and communication with production teams.
4.Maintenance Planning & Reliability Improvement: Assist in developing and enhancing long-term maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and prevent recurrence of issues, in collaboration with production and contractors.
5.Inventory & Procurement Support: Monitor maintenance spare parts inventory, including receiving and issuing updates, and assist with purchase requests for tools, spare parts, and maintenance services.
6.Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation such as calibration records, maintenance files, work orders, and compliance with ISO standards and internal SOPs.
7.Safety & Continuous Improvement: Uphold AKSS EHS policies, support safety and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), act responsibly for workplace safety, and contribute to minimizing Major Accident Hazards (MAHs) to ALARP levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent.
2. Min 5 years’ experience as Maintenance supervisor/Engineer in a chemical plant.
3. Must have knowledge and hand-on troubleshooting experience on Chemical Plant equipment’s.
4. Basic understanding of Maintenance technology, Mechanical equipment’s & manufacturing process.
5. Good team player and communication skills with right attitude towards work progress.
