Location: Jurong Island (Company transport provided from Jurong East)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM
Industry: Chemical / Process / Manufacturing
Basic Salary: $3,500 – $5,350/month
Allowances:

• Transport Allowance: $140/month

• Site Allowance: $220/month

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and technically competent Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance activities, ensure equipment reliability, and support safe operations within a chemical plant environment. This is a hands-on supervisory role ideal for someone with strong mechanical and leadership skills in plant and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily maintenance tasks with in-house teams and external contractors to ensure smooth operations.

• Service and maintain equipment to ensure readiness and minimize downtime due to unavailability of spare parts.

• Analyze equipment failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions with senior engineers and contractors.

• Manage spare parts inventory using CMMS, optimize stock levels, and ensure availability of critical spares.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and inspection schedules for both rotating and static equipment.

• Oversee and coordinate annual plant shutdown maintenance, ensuring safe and timely execution.

• Maintain and update long-term maintenance plans for facility and utility systems.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with EHSQ standards and review/implement Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA).

• Contribute to continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Environmental and Health Management Systems (SS506 Part 3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, IATF 16949).

• Act responsibly to ensure the safety of self and others, complying with ALARP principles.

• Support inter- and intra-departmental tasks and promote a collaborative team environment in line with company values.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant & facilities maintenance within a chemical processing environment.

• Solid understanding of maintenance technology and manufacturing plant processes.

• Proven ability to manage contractors independently and complete tasks efficiently.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Willingness and availability to support 24-hour plant operations as required.
