Job description

About our client: Our client is a leading company in the oil and gas manufacturing sector.

About the role: This role will be hired on a 1-year contract.

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic presses, pressure test rigs, rotating equipment, and lifting devices.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist in maintaining and servicing CNC machines, welding systems, and other specialised production equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical diagrams, and work instructions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and report any abnormalities or equipment issues.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery.
• Operate and maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all safety and permit-to-work procedures as per company policies and Singapore’s WSH regulations.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, job safety analyses, and support general workshop housekeeping.

About you:

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or relevant technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or subsea equipment manufacturing is a strong advantage.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, mechanical measuring instruments, and lifting equipment.
• Able to read mechanical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Basic welding or fabrication skills is a plus.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when necessary.
