Job summary

A leading company in plant maintenance seeks a Maintenance Engineer to oversee machinery upkeep and repair. Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and facilities in the precast plant.

2. Monitor the performance of plant equipment and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.

3. Respond promptly to breakdowns and coordinate with technicians or contractors for repair works.

4. Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and update logs in the ERP or maintenance system.

5. Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.

6. Ensure availability of critical spare parts by liaising with the store or procurement team.

7. Monitor the condition of plant utilities (e.g., compressors, water pumps, overhead cranes, gantry cranes, batching plant).

8. Enforce compliance with safety regulations and ensure that all maintenance works follow safety procedures.

9. Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

10. Prepare maintenance schedules, reports, and documentation for internal use and audits.

11. Source for new vendors for spare parts to ensure quality, availability, and cost competitiveness.

12. Negotiate with vendors and follow up on vendor performance to ensure reliability and adherence to agreed terms.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ prior experience in plant maintenance, preferably in a precast or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, maintenance scheduling, and technical purchasing is an advantage.
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
