Job summary

St Engineering Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee the yard's asset upkeep. You will manage mechanical and electrical systems, implement preventive maintenance, and lead predictive maintenance activities to prevent failures.

The role requires hands-on planning, coordinating maintenance teams and service providers, maintaining accurate records, and driving continuous improvement to reduce downtime and costs while meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance of industrial assets, equipment, or facilities.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles and practices.
• Strong planning, organization, and manpower coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the maintenance of all assets within the yard.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to ensure asset reliability and longevity.
• Conduct predictive maintenance activities, including condition monitoring and analysis, to identify potential equipment failures before they occur.
• Supervise troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment issues and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
• Plan, schedule, and optimize manpower utilization for maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and asset documentation.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvement actions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety, quality, and company requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support maintenance operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
