Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assigned to the Mechanical Maintenance team and will be accountable in the maintenance of mechanical equipment such as boilers (pressure vessels, etc.), pumps (seawater, BFW, etc.), and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, valves and piping.
  • Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance works, liaising with operations, prioritising jobs, mobilising workforce, spares and allocating resources.
  • Lead technicians in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot critical or major plant issues, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies, plant improvement initiatives, and drive cost management.
  • Implement management initiatives to optimize assets and continuously improve methods, procedures, and stay updated with market developments by adopting approaches like predictive and preventive maintenance; include actions such as failure finding, redesign and run-to-failure as applicable.
  • Plan and review the budget for the Cost Centers assigned to them.
  • Maintain risk registers, participate in safety walkdowns, implement safety initiatives, and ensure good safety practices by all stakeholders in maintenance work.
  • Develop and establish maintenance procedures, risk assessments and method statements for all maintenance activities to ensure safe execution.
  • Ensure that maintenance works and plant equipment comply with statutory requirements.
  • Assist in maintenance-related projects to improve workflow and maintenance processes.
  • Successful candidate may be appointed to the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT); training will be provided.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
