Job summary

BRC Asia Ltd in Singapore is seeking a maintenance engineer to lead troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment overhauls in a heavy manufacturing environment.

You will manage spare parts, supervise technicians, and coordinate with suppliers, ensuring safety standards and timely maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience in industrial automation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
• Experience in steel manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of IPCs, PLCs, drive systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience in leading or supervising a team is an advantage.
• Willing to work 5.5 days per week and overtime when required.
• Driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Lead and supervise technicians in carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and overhauls.

• Plan, coordinate, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.

• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical components for maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers for technical support, spare parts procurement, and maintenance services.

• Monitor equipment performance, identify recurring breakdowns, and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with workplace safety standards, established procedures, and company policies, including proper maintenance records and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Hands-on experience in industrial automation systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

• Experience in the steel manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

• Good knowledge of Industrial PCs (IPCs), PLC programming, drive control systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience in leading or supervising a team of technicians will be an advantage.

• Willing to work 5.5 days per week and perform overtime when required.

• Possession of a valid driving licence is preferred.
