Job summary

A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to enhance equipment uptime and reliability within their Front-End and Machine Shop departments. The successful candidate will drive troubleshooting efforts, lead maintenance projects, and ensure compliance with safety protocols while mentoring technicians. Experience in equipment maintenance, particularly in optics or CNC machines, will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years in Equipment Maintenance, experience in optics or CNC machines is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience in PLC, drives, automation, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong background in equipment & maintenance engineering.

Job Description:

• Provide technical expertise to the Front-End and Machine Shop departments to enhance equipment’s uptime and reliability.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective countermeasures for recurring machine issues, offering strong technical support to production.

• Comply with established maintenance systems, procedures, and safety protocols.

• Apply TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) tools and methodologies, driving progress through the Planned Maintenance Pillar.

• Ensure timely and cost-effective completion of major capital investment projects in alignment with the AOP capital expenditure budget.

• Own and drive Maintenance KPIs such as equipment availability and downtime for the assigned area.

• Continuously develop and enhance the technical competency of maintenance technicians through training and mentorship.

• Maintain a well-organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables to support maintenance activities with minimal disruption.

• Ensure all maintenance tasks adhere to relevant safety regulations and industry standards, fostering a safe and compliant working environment.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related field.

• 3 - 5 years in Equipment Maintenance. Experience in Optics or machine shop CNC machines will be advantageous.

• Equipment Maintenance experience in Manufacturing with TPM Exposure.

• Hands on experience in PLC, Drives, Automation, Electrical Circuits, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulic.

• Strong background in equipment & maintenance engineering.

• Must be a team player, to work with other functions.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate ideas and messages across clearly.
