Senior Associate Equipment Engineer or Equipment Engineer who has strong experience on hands-on skill for repair equipment, can analysis and troubleshooting the root cause of equipment down.
Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of all production equipment and facility systems. This role combines technical troubleshooting with equipment lifecycle management, including maintenance planning, asset optimization, and supporting equipment upgrades or commissioning. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures by the Maintenance Team; Daily line sustaining to ensure minimal downtime for equipment; Conduct training for maintenance Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Engineering:
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new production or utility equipment.
- Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and lifespan of equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement equipment preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for technical support and spare parts procurement.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) enhancement and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Responsible for the equipment improvement project by Safety Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC).
- Update Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), calibration documents
Maintenance Management:
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, or automation systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, logs, and work orders in CMMS.
- Identify and implement maintenance best practices to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, health, and regulatory standards.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory and equipment documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production, quality, EHS, and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Support audits (internal/external) related to equipment maintenance, safety, or GMP compliance (if applicable).
Train and guide junior technicians or maintenance personnel
Qualifications:
Education:
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance and engineering support, preferably in [ semiconductor / manufacturing / pharmaceutical / food processing / etc.].
Skills:
- Strong hands-on knowledge in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or PLC-based systems.
- Proficient with CMMS systems, equipment documentation, and maintenance SOPs.
- Familiar with equipment lifecycle management and reliability engineering.
- Good analytical thinking, communication, and project coordination skills.
Certifications (Preferred):
- WSQ Electrical Licensing (LEW), SS 532/ISO standards, TPM, or Lean Manufacturing experience.
