Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Accountable to: Customer Support Director

Direct reports: Maintenance center supervisor and technicians

Summary of Job Purposes:

The Maintenance Centre Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding the production targets.

Job Summary:

  1. Lead production requirements through maintenance activities.
  2. Provide the required support to the Maintenance Centre team to enable the highest levels of safety, quality, and production performance as a collective.
  3. Develop new opportunities to increase capabilities.
  4. Implement methods to improve performance.
  5. Manage the objectives set locally and by Corporate.
  6. Ensure compliance with the applicable airworthiness and SAFRAN HE Asia’s quality, safety management system, and health, safety & environment requirements.
  7. Ensure processes and procedures are up to date and maintained.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Ensure monitoring and coordination of all work assigned to the Maintenance Centre staff to ensure that maximum production efficiencies are obtained.
  2. Ensure the timely processing of engines/modules/components in accordance with production objectives.
  3. Monitor production planning and scheduling tools.
  4. Serve as the primary technical resource for maintenance teams, offering expert advice and solutions.
  5. Review and conduct assessment of engine manual revisions to establish technicians' capabilities and abilities to carry out maintenance tasks.
  6. Plan and ensure the training qualification of technicians.
  7. Increase the Maintenance Centre capabilities.
  8. Act as the point of contact and subject matter expert, inclusive of audit requirements.
  9. Drive team performance.
  10. Build continuous improvement tools for performance management.
  11. Support the Customer Support Director in building and executing strategic plans.
  12. All internal and KPIs reporting.
  13. The employee will be required to undertake any other duties/responsibilities as directed by the Manager/Business.
  14. Participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement.

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or mechanical/technical trade qualification, preferably in the rotorcraft industry or in the aviation industry.
  2. Team leadership training/qualification.
  3. Project management training/qualification.

Specific Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  1. Experience in production planning and execution.
  2. Experience in leading and developing a team.
  3. Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  4. Customer service experience.
  5. Ability to comply with all applicable airworthiness, quality, and other legislative requirements.
  6. A comprehensive understanding of maintenance documentation.
  7. Experience to be able to oversee the training of personnel.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
  9. Ability and aptitude to oversee the maintenance of skills.
  10. Knowledge in aviation gas turbines (product knowledge), aviation services, and MRO industry will be an added advantage.
