Job summary

ENCORA TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. seeks a skilled Mainframe System Engineer (SE) in Singapore to manage data storage solutions and migrations.

You will install and operate IBM products such as TDMS, DFSMS, DFHSM, and Control Center, while collaborating with project teams to meet milestones and support DR operations. The role requires strong z/OS and MVS skills, VSAM sharing knowledge, and experience with mainframe storage tools.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong z/OS and MVS skills across IBM utilities and mainframe disciplines.
• Knowledge of VSAM Record Level Sharing (IAM a plus)
• Experience with mainframe storage software and IBM tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and implement data storage solutions and migrations.
• Install, configure, and operate IBM software products like TDMS, DFSMS, DFHSM, Control Center, and Mainframe Enablers.
• Collaborate on project teams to meet milestones and communicate across stakeholders.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery operations and testing.
• Install, maintain, and customize operating systems and system software.
• Process client requests for system storage modifications.
• Conduct problem analysis and implement resolutions to support client needs.
• Support zSeries leaders in reviewing software requirements and setting technical direction.

Job Duties

• Management, maintenance, and implementation of data storage solutions and storage migration.
• Installation, configuration, and ongoing operation of key IBM Software products such as TDMS,DFSMS, DFHSM, Control Center and Mainframe Enablers.
• Ability to work on project teams, delivering on key project milestones, and communicating effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Participation in Disaster Recovery operations.
• Install, maintain, and customize operating systems and system software.
• Process client requests for system storage modifications.
• Perform problem analysis and resolution implementation to support client needs.
• Assist the Operations Engineering zSeries leaders in reviewing software requirements and establishing technical direction and business strategy for the department.

Associates Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
