Job summary

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors seeks an Analyst to join its Asia macro pod, collaborating with a senior Portfolio Manager and a small risk-taking team. The role focuses on FX options trading, identifying expressions for delta views, monitoring FX vol, and building analytics to support the pod.

This is an ideal step for a sell-side FX options trader transitioning to buy-side, with a clear pathway to becoming an independent risk taker. Strong coding and analytic skills are encouraged and supported.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience trading FX options (sell-side market making desk)
• Strong understanding of FX volatility surfaces, pricing and risk management
• Experience with vanilla and exotic FX option structures
• Familiarity with vol swaps and strike-less volatility expressions
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey trade ideas clearly
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative pod environment
• Willingness to develop analytics and coding skills with support

Responsibilities

• Monitor FX volatility markets across G10 and Asian currencies, identifying opportunities and dislocations
• Help the PM find optimal expressions for directional views using vanilla and exotic options structures
• Structure, price, and execute FX volatility positions
• Build and maintain analytics tools to support volatility monitoring, relative value screening, and risk reporting
• Contribute trade ideas and market color to the pod, leveraging sell-side relationships and market intelligence
• Manage risk across the pod's FX vol positions, monitor exposures and adjust as market conditions evolve
• Collaborate with the PM and wider team on portfolio construction and risk management

We are seeking a talented Analyst to join a growing Asia macro pod, working directly with a senior Portfolio Manager and a small team of risk takers. The role is focused on those with a FX options trading background, with responsibility for helping the PM identify the best expressions for their delta views, monitoring the FX vol space, and building out analytics to support the pod.

This is an ideal opportunity for a sell-side FX options trader looking to transition to the buy-side, with a clear pathway to becoming an independent risk taker over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor FX volatility markets across G10 and Asian currencies, identifying opportunities and dislocations
• Help the PM find optimal expressions for directional views, using vanilla and exotic options structures
• Structure, price, and execute FX volatility positions
• Build and maintain analytics tools to support volatility monitoring, relative value screening, and risk reporting
• Contribute trade ideas and market color to the pod, drawing on sell-side relationships and market intelligence
• Manage risk across the pod's FX vol positions, monitoring exposures and adjusting as market conditions evolve
• Collaborate closely with the PM and wider team on portfolio construction and risk management
