Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace Sdn Bhd in Singapore is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and optimize high-precision aerospace components. You will read drawings, program with G-code, select tooling, and maintain tight tolerances across production runs.

Responsibilities include machine setup, in-process and final inspections, and continuous improvement across safety, quality, and efficiency. Prior aerospace experience and willingness to work shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

  • NITEC/Higher NITEC, technical certification, or equivalent qualification in Precision Engineering, Machining Technology, or related field.

  • Good coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and positive work attitude.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines and machining equipment to manufacture precision aerospace components according to engineering specifications and production requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions to determine machining methods, tooling requirements, and dimensional tolerances.
  • Perform machine setup, tool changes, offset adjustments, and routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary process adjustments to maintain product quality, dimensional accuracy, and cycle time targets.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial indicators.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues, and work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards to support a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, setup reduction, and waste elimination.
  • Accurately complete production records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines and machining equipment to manufacture precision aerospace components according to engineering specifications and production requirements.
