Job description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Select, set up, inspect, and adjust appropriate tools, machines, and materials (basic and specialized machining tools).

• Align and secure holding fixtures, accessories, and drilling tools onto machines.

• Measure and calculate dimensions and tolerances; confirm specifications with supervisor or engineers.

• Perform machining tasks as instructed (Machining/Welding/Drilling/Bench Fitting).

• Set controls and monitor machine feed and speed during operation.

• Ensure workpieces are lubricated and cooled properly; position and fasten as needed.

• Observe machines during operation to identify malfunctions and assess repair needs.

• Maintain tools and equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and removing debris.

• Inspect completed parts for defects and verify conformance to specifications.

• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure machining accuracy.

• Support additional fabrication work and propose improvements to machining processes.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS

• Basic literacy or ITE qualification preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.

• Experience in operating specialized machining tools and troubleshooting.

• Minimum 1 year of experience with lathe machines.

• Ability to operate hydrotesting bench for pressure testing.

• Strong understanding of machine specifications and precise measurements.

• Good judgment and accuracy in measuring.

• Basic knowledge of machining methods and mechanics.
