Job description

    As a Machinery Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing sales activities with world-renowned brands in packing machineries within a designated geographical area or territory. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining customer relationships, meeting sales targets, and driving revenue growth.Your key responsibilities will include driving sales growth, expanding the customer base, and maximizing revenue within your assigned territory. Effective territory management, strong relationship-building skills, and a customer-centric approach will be crucial for your success in this role.You will need to manage a specific geographic territory, develop a comprehensive territory management plan, identify potential customers, prioritize sales prospects, and allocate resources effectively to maximize sales opportunities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, providing product information, and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly will be essential. Regularly visiting customers, conducting sales presentations, and maintaining communication to drive customer loyalty and increase sales will also be part of your role.Setting and working towards achieving sales targets, developing sales strategies, action plans, and tactics, monitoring sales performance, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions as needed will all be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. You will also be required to identify and target new business opportunities within the territory, generate leads through various channels, conduct prospecting activities, qualify leads, and convert them into customers.Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with customers, presenting product solutions, addressing objections, and building consensus to close sales deals in a timely manner will be part of your role. Additionally, staying updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities within the assigned territory, gathering market intelligence, identifying industry developments, and providing feedback to the sales and marketing teams will be important.To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, strong presentation skills, market analysis capabilities, product demonstration experience, customer relationship management skills, and computer literacy with knowledge in MS Office and Excel. The work location will be in Chennai with openness to travel to client locations.This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance, paid sick time, and paid time off.
