Job summary

NES GLOBAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Machinery Engineer to ensure compliance with site safety rules and provide engineering expertise for a Chemical Plant and Refinery operations environment.

You will lead by example and reinforce safety mindset while supporting design, troubleshooting and long-term equipment improvements. The role involves field engineering, root cause analysis, and collaboration with PMTE and other teams to deliver reliable and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Machinery Engineering experience in oil & gas industry.
• Experience working for an Oil & Gas Operator.
• Hands-on expertise in engineering design, root cause and failure analysis, condition monitoring, operations and maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering and rotating equipment.
• Able to apply machinery fundamentals to resolve problems.
• Strong interface and collaboration skills.
• Good communication in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for field machinery equipment and safety compliance on site.
• Lead engineering assessment, design, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Support major shutdowns and maintenance activities (e.g., inspections).
• Deliver engineering solutions and equipment improvements to improve reliability and safety.
• Provide technical training as required and participate in cross-functional network activities.

Your role

Our major Oil & Gas Downstream Client is looking for Machinery Engineer who will be responsible for understanding and demonstrating compliance to Site Safety rules, leading by example and reinforcing safety mindset among the team.

You will understand Business Controls and compliance to company standards, lead by example and reinforce control sensitivity among team. You will provide engineering expertise support to the Manufacturing Complex (Chemical Plant and Refinery) for safe and reliable operations.

The work includes but not be limited to engineering assessment, engineering design, plant troubleshooting and equipment failure root cause failure analysis, long term equipment improvement initiatives and provide engineering solutions to problems in specific field

• Provide support for major shutdown maintenance or major equipment maintenance work. E.g. T/A or GTGs major inspection etc
• Key contact for their area of expertise
• Provide technical training as required in the area of expertise
• Collaborate among Business Team (PMTE) and participate in respective network activities as required
• Day to day field engineering support for machinery equipment
• Troubleshooting in field and provide resolution and follow up n engineering deliverables
• Proactively mitigate bad actors
• Compliance to site SHE protocols
• Compliance to company's control requirements
  

You are what we are looking for if you:

• Have minimum 7 years of Machinery Engineering experience in working oil & gas industry
• Have experience working for an Oil and Gas Operator
• Have Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• Have hands-on expertise in engineering design, root cause and failure analysis, condition monitoring, operations, and maintenance
• Have sound engineering knowledge in the mechanical Engineering and rotating equipment
• Are able to understand machinery fundamentals and apply academic knowledge to resolve problems
• Are able to interface and collaborate
• Have good communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
