Job summary

ByteDance invites interns to join its Global Payment Tech team, a core engine powering payment and financial services across platforms like TikTok. The internship offers hands-on exposure across ML, AI, and risk control in a high-concurrency, multi-currency environment.

You will contribute to payments, wallets, and financial products while collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers. Successful candidates should be able to commit to onboarding by year-end and clearly state

Qualifications

Bachelor in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, data science or other related disciplines;
Experienced in AI modeling, familiar with at least one framework of TensorFlow / PyTorch / MXNet;
Has good learning and communication skills, a strong sense of curiosity and responsibility, a spirit of exploration, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

Design and develop machine learning algorithms to combat financial compliance risks and identify potential compliance issues, and uncover potential emerging risks.
Focus on live streaming, e-commerce, and other business scenarios, exploring new paradigms for financial security in internet-based contexts.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, Generative AI, LLM, and VLM. Improve compliance operation review efficiency.
Explore the application and implementation of cutting-edge research such as large language models, graph neural networks, and multimodal techniques in financial risk scenarios.
Work with datasets for image processing, text analysis, and multimodal model training.
