Job summary

ByteDance is offering an internship to work on data analytics for payment and financial segments of its global business, including TikTok’s core platforms. Interns will perform in-depth analyses of transactions and metrics, with opportunities to participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops.

Responsibilities include identifying growth drivers, building metric systems, evaluating strategies with experiments and causal inference, and exploring AI-powered data analytics

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in quantitative analysis-related disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics and Business Analytics.
• Solid foundation in mathematical statistics; knowledge of statistics, causal inference, machine learning and big data tech.
• Proficient in SQL and at least one of Python or R.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Preferred: hands-on AI deployment experience in data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Identify growth drivers through qualitative and quantitative analysis of user behavior.
• Design core metric frameworks and align team objectives with measurement standards.
• Evaluate operational strategies via experiments, causal inference and statistics to boost revenue.
• Explore LLM applications in data analytics and advance Agentic Data Analysis.
• Build AI-powered capabilities and reusable data science toolkits for the team.
