Job summary

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our engineering team builds state‑of‑the‑art content safety systems using machine learning, computer vision and data mining to protect users and uphold local regulations.

As part of a global, diverse team, you will translate product objectives into scalable classifiers and tools, continuously improve model performance, and collaborate across functions to deliver a safe, joyful platform for communities worldwide.

Qualifications

• Major in computer science or related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in machine learning, pattern recognition, NLP, data mining, or computer vision.
• Experience in recommendation, search, advertising, or related projects.
• Published papers in top AI conferences or journals (KDD, IJCAI, WWW, WSDM, ICML, NeurIPS, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, ACL, etc.) is a plus.
• Competition experience in ML, data mining, CV, NLP and others.

Responsibilities

• Build industry-leading content safety systems.
• Develop highly scalable classifiers, tools, models and algorithms using ML, CV, and data mining.
• Understand product objectives and improve trust and safety strategy and model performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to protect TikTok globally.
