Job summary

TikTok is seeking a risk-focused ML engineer to protect live streams on TikTok Live. You will lead detection and mitigation of ecosystem and financial risks at scale across multimodal data, helping shape safer real-time experiences for hundreds of millions of users.

You will design high-performance models with text, image, audio, and behavioral data; study adversarial tactics; and drive adoption of AI Agents and LLM tuning to improve automated risk decisions within complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Math, Stats, or related field.
• Strong ML/DL fundamentals; familiarity with XGBoost, DeepFM, Transformers.
• Proficient coding in Python, C++, or Go; experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong logical thinking, data sensitivity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Risk Identification & Governance: Lead the detection and mitigation of ecosystem/content risks and financial risks on TikTok Live.
• Model Development: Design and optimize high-precision, low-latency risk detection models utilizing massive multimodal data (text, image, audio, and behavioral sequences).
• Adversarial Defense: Analyze black-market tactics and attack patterns to design robust defense strategies and respond rapidly to emerging threats.
• Advanced AI Application: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including AI Agents, LLM Fine-tuning, and Multimodal Models, to enhance automated reasoning and decision-making capabilities in complex risk scenarios.
