Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a capable Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain modern web applications and system integrations for Facilities Management and Smart District use cases.

You will collaborate with product managers, service designers, and technical leads to deliver scalable digital solutions within the FX Platform ecosystem, emphasizing Azure, microservices, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Proven full stack development experience with modern web apps.
• Strong JS/TS skills and front-end framework experience (React/Angular).
• Backend development with Java and/or Node.js and REST API design.

About the Role

You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain modern web applications and system integrations supporting Facilities Management and Smart District operations.

You will work closely with product managers, service designers, technical leads, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable digital solutions within the FX Platform ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has strong full stack development experience, particularly in frontend and backend development, API integration, Microsoft Azure, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain modern web applications.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
• Develop scalable backend services and microservices using Java and/or TypeScript with Node.js.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs for application functionality and system integration.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise development standards.

System Integration

• Develop and maintain integrations between the FX Platform and enterprise systems using APIs, messaging services, and data services.
• Implement event-driven integrations using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Support data exchange, synchronisation, and workflow integration across multiple applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cross-system integration issues.
• Integrate with shared platform services such as authentication, notifications, workflow, scheduling, and common APIs.

Cloud & DevOps

• Deploy and maintain cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Support containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), API Management (APIM), Application Gateway, and Azure Key Vault.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Manage source code and development workflows using GitLab.

Security & Reliability

• Apply secure coding practices and enterprise security standards.
• Manage TLS certificates, secrets, authentication mechanisms, and security configurations.
• Monitor application performance, reliability, and operational health.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of application performance and reliability.

Product & Delivery

• Collaborate with product managers, service designers, technical leads, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and user needs.
• Participate in solution design, prototyping, development, testing, and implementation.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, and release planning.
• Support application modernisation and migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate AI capabilities into business applications where required.

Requirements

• Strong experience in full stack web application development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience developing backend applications using Java and/or Node.js.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with APIs, messaging technologies, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with databases and data integration concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab.
• Understanding of secure software development practices.
• Knowledge of TLS and certificate management.
• Understanding of identity and access management concepts.
• Experience with secrets management solutions such as Azure Key Vault.
